Discussion:
VB6 & MiDocView Object (MODI - Office 2003)
(too old to reply)

Hi,
A security patch yesterday that had a update to ATL.DLL seems to have now
prevented the MODI object fro working in VB6, error 372 in complied or out of
memory in code.

To re-produce this just add the MODI as a component, add the MiDocView to a
form and run, not sure if this is a bug created by the security patch, any
help in a workaround would he useful.

I think that you've incorrectly targeted this question. Note that the
newsgroup name here is microsoft.public.windowsce.embedded.vb. That is,
you're asking this question, not in a VB6 newsgroup, but in a newsgroup
targeted, #1: at a newsgroup about Windows CE (I presume that you're using
desktop Windows, yes? Windows XP or Vista? That's not what this group is
about.), and #2: at a group about Embedded VB, not Visual Basic on the
desktop. Ask in a more-appropriate group for a more-useful response...

#1 Sorry if posted this in the wrong group, dont recall a option to say
where to psot.
#2 XP

This issue may not only effect VB but any design application that may
use/call MODI

Right. Windows CE is the operating system running in your Windows
SmartPhone, not any desktop operating system. MODI is an Office thing,
right. There's no Office on your phone, at least not that supports
programmability.

I'm not a moderator and you can certainly wait for an answer here, but
you'll never get one, unless I'm mistaken...
